LiveWrite is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and creative expression in correctional facilities. We teach creative writing, literature, and playwriting classes in New York City jails.

We also host writing contests open to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people. Contests are always free to enter, and every submission is considered for publication in our literary magazine, Inside Out.
